DANCE INSET

Total Dance offers a range of courses that aim to help teachers change their approach to helping pupils learn in Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and at Key Stage 5. Our programme of courses includes courses for people new to teaching dance, and courses that will extend experts.

DANCE HEALTHY

A tool that can be used for short periods each day (e.g. before school, at the end of lunchtime or during lessons) to refocus learning and ensure all pupils have the opportunity to be physically active every day in an engaging, fun and inclusive way. The resource pack includes CD of music, and choreography. A one hour INSET course is also available. Dance Healthy can be delivered to small or large groups of children.

WHOLE STAFF INSET

(Primary School and PE/Dance Departments) Revitilise your school approach to teaching and learning dance, and gain new ideas for using dance to promote learning across the curriculum. Total Dance can offer training to take place in staff meeting time, INSET day, or other times before or after school on your school site.

STAFF TEAM BUILDING

(Primary/Secondary/FE) Use Total Dance to deliver a team building session for staff as part of INSET day. Ideal for primary or secondary schools.

SCHOOL CONSULTANCY

Bring in a Total Dance consultant to work with key members of staff to review your dance curriculum and prepare bespoke schemes of work that will inspire your pupils.

DANCE WORKSHOP

Total Dance offers whole year and whole school programmes. Bring in our instructors for a day, or more, to invigorate and inspire pupils. Learners, learning dance all day and then performing at the end of the day. Ideal for end of term enrichment programmes.

DANCE TASTER

a dance class no more than 1 hour. These are usually at one school all day delivering dance to as many classes as possible in a day (usually 4, 5, 6 sessions are possible at a school or college)

DANCE PLATFORM

schools and/or community centres invited to bring a dance performance to the dance platform, usually preceded by a dance practitioner delivering sessions to create the dance to be performed. Total Dance will organise sessions in each school, prepare pupils for a performance and organise the performance.Ideal for School Sport Partnership Programmes.

MASTER CLASS

fantastically technical dance class for learners who want an insight to a technique class of the highest standard.

DANCE SPLASH

holiday programmes featuring latest dance styles and popular dance and latest music. Can be organised to fit in with your pupil availability and facilities.

DANCE CLUB

morning, lunchtime or after school provision for pupils.

INSPIRED BY DANCE

motivational speaker. From front room to world champion, from back yard to choreographing Beyonce and more. A real life story of goal setting and achievement.

Potential Sources of Funding:

Give us a call and we may be able to help identify sources of funding that your school may use to promote dance or engage targeted groups of pupils. - this can be developed to include links to other web sites, and a blank application for schools to send us to help identify funds.
